Automatic action configuration

Automatic actions in Power Hub allow you to define repetitive tasks so that they are carried out automatically when specific triggering events occur. Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to configure an automatic action.

1. Plan the automatic action

  1. Consider which action you would like to automate – do you want to change the order status or data, create a shipment, issue an invoice, send an email? This will hereafter be referred to as an Action. A list of available Actions and their descriptions can be found here.
  2. Determine under what circumstances the given Action should be performed – immediately after the order is retrieved, after it has been paid, after a status change? This circumstance will be referred to as an Event. A list of available Events and their descriptions can be found here.
  3. Specify additional Conditions that must occur together with the Event for the Action to be performed – e.g. order in a specific status, value, source, duration of existence. A list of available Conditions and their descriptions can be found here.

2. Log in to Power Hub

  1. Go to app.powerhub.pl.
  2. Log in to your account or register if you do not yet have an account.

3. Add a new automatic action

After logging in:

  1. Go to the Configuration → Automatic actions. section.
  2. In the side menu, go to the Automatic actions. tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Select Event from the list on the left.
  5. If necessary, add Conditions to it.
  6. Select Action from the list on the right.
  7. When adding a sequence of Actions, you can specify whether the sequence should be stopped if an error occurs in one of them.
  8. Make sure that the switch next to the word Active is set to true.
  9. Click Save.

4. Edit an existing automatic action

If you need to make changes to an automatic action after adding it, double-click its name in the list of automatic actions.

To delete a previously added Event, Condition or Action, click the bin icon next to it.

When changing the Event to a different one, you must redefine its Conditions from scratch.

You can change the order in which the sequence of Actions assigned to a single Event is executed using the arrows on the right-hand side of the window.

5. Manage automatic actions

In the list view of all created automatic actions, you can:

  • Change the order of automatic actions
  • Search automatic actions using filters
  • Delete existing automatic actions

The order of automatic actions in the list matters if you have several separate actions triggered by the same Event (Events may have different Conditions set). Actions will be executed according to the defined order. You can change the order of actions only within a single group. Actions without an assigned group will always be displayed at the top of the list.

6. Automatic action groups

In the side tab Automatic action groups you can define groups that will help you organise actions in the list and make them easier to manage. Using the arrows, you can change the order in which the groups are displayed, which affects the order of the actions themselves.

To assign an action to a specific group, you must edit the selected automatic action and choose a group from the list of available groups.
